Canine Forest School is for dogs who deserve more from their day than simply being entertained until it's time to go home.
Instead of a large daycare group or hours spent in a kennel, dogs enjoy a small, structured day filled with opportunities to sniff, explore, play, problem-solve, rest and just be dogs.
Every Forest School day is a little different. Activities are chosen based on the dogs attending, the weather and what makes sense for the day.
What Does a Forest School Day Look Like?
Your dog's day may include:
• Exploring wooded trails and our 5-acre property
• Sniff walks and decompression time
• Scent games and food enrichment
• Confidence-building activities
• Natural obstacles and body-awareness games
• Training games and practicing skills they already know
• Appropriate play or social time with compatible dogs
• Calm time around other dogs
• Indoor enrichment and activities
• Structured rest and nap time
• Occasional field trips and adventures
Some days might involve a trail adventure. Another might include scent games, exploring the woods and playing outside. Hot, cold or rainy days may mean more indoor enrichment and brain games.
The goal isn't to pack as much activity as possible into the day. It's to give each dog an appropriate balance of activity, enrichment, exploration and rest.
Daycare Without the Chaos
Forest School isn't traditional doggy daycare.
I intentionally keep the program very small so dogs aren't spending their day in a large playgroup or an overstimulating environment.
Dogs don't have to love playing with every dog they meet, either.
Depending on the dogs attending, social experiences may include appropriate play, walking together, exploring together or simply learning to comfortably share space.
There is also plenty of downtime. Rest is an important part of a good day, especially after adventures and enrichment.
Ready for Forest School?
Forest School has very limited availability so that every dog can receive the individual attention, enrichment and downtime they need.
If you're looking for a small alternative to traditional daycare where your dog can explore, sniff, play, learn and have some pretty great adventures along the way, I'd love to have them join us.

Who Is Forest School For?
Forest School can be a great fit for dogs who:
• Would benefit from more enrichment and activity during the week
• Love sniffing, exploring and being outside
• Don't enjoy traditional large-group daycare
• Need appropriate outlets for their energy
• Enjoy learning games and trying new things
• Benefit from small, thoughtfully managed social experiences
• Have completed training and would benefit from continuing to use their skills in real life
• Simply deserve a really good day while their people are busy
Weather Doesn't Stop Forest School
Oklahoma weather gets a vote in our plans!
On beautiful days, we may spend a large portion of the day outside exploring. When it's too hot, cold or wet, activities shift toward indoor enrichment, scent games, puzzles, training games and shorter outdoor adventures.
Forest School isn't built around a rigid daily itinerary. Activities change based on what will give the dogs attending the best day.
