How I Train:
My training approach is rooted in the LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) framework. This means I focus first on meeting the dog’s needs, building clear communication, and using rewards to teach and reinforce behavior.
​
I look at the whole dog: environment, genetics, daily routine, and emotional state, so we’re not just addressing behavior, but why it’s happening.
​
I primarily use reward-based training, while also helping owners create structure, boundaries, and consistency in everyday life.
​
When appropriate, I may incorporate additional training tools. These are introduced thoughtfully, used fairly, and always with the goal of improving communication, not forcing compliance.

Every dog and family is different, and training is tailored to what is safe, effective, and sustainable in real life.

I do not offer guarantees on training outcomes.
Behavior is not black and white. It is influenced by many variables, including environment, consistency, and lifestyle. Because of this, it would be unrealistic and irresponsible to guarantee specific results.

Payment & Refund Policies:
Full payment is due at the time of booking.
I accept major credit and debit cards via Stripe, as well as cash and check.

All services and training packages are non-refundable once purchased. Training time and availability are reserved at booking, regardless of when sessions are scheduled or used.
​
Lesson packages must be used within the specified timeframe. Unused sessions expire after that period.
​
Packages are non-transferable unless approved in writing by ROC Animal Training.
Communication:
Email is the best way to reach me.
I am the sole owner and trainer, so email helps me stay organized and respond more efficiently.
If you’d prefer to talk by phone, I’m happy to schedule a call, just reach out to set up a time so we don’t end up playing phone tag.
Cancelations/
Rescheduling:
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment will be charged in full and count toward your session.
​
Appointments may be rescheduled once with more than 24 hours’ notice.
Additional reschedules will require a new payment for that session.
Removal from Training:
ROC Animal Training reserves the right to remove a dog from training at any time if there is a safety concern or risk to people or other animals.
​
No refunds will be given under these circumstances.
